**Gokay (Host): **Hello everybody! Welcome back to our Gate Institutional Ask-Me-Anything series. This is Gokay from Gate.io Institutional services. Today we already have the 16th episode of our AMA and I just want to remind you that our team manages a wide range of institutional clients, including hedge funds, institutional traders, high net worth individuals, and family offices. 
So, today we have AMA session with "Kryll" - automated trading strategies and trading bot building platform. And I'm excited to introduce our special guest Sebastian Ganjali - Head of Strategy at Kryll. Thank you for joining our stream. Nice to meet you, Sebastian! How are you? How do you feel? 
**Sebastian:** Thanks for having me. First of all, I'm feeling fantastic and ready to fire away at your questions.
**Gokay:** That's great! We are excited to have you, Sebastian, share your insights and expertise on Kryll and the world of cryptocurrency trading. So without further ado, let's jump right into the discussion and get to know Sebastian and Kryll a little bit better.

**Q1: So, tell us a little about yourself. Who is Sebastian Ganjali and what's your background? 
Sebastian:** Sure. So in around mid-2010, I got involved in the trading space. I did this while working in a law career, and while I was pursuing that, it was just a bit of a hobby at the time. During that time, I found myself getting more and more involved in the trading space, and I was happy to see that after a few failures, it was going pretty well for me. As soon as I started to integrate crypto into my trading and portfolio, things started to take a pretty profitable upturn for me. So, I got more involved in the trading space, and I was spending less time in the legal field, so to speak. From there, I decided that it was time to pursue it full-time, and after doing that, I managed to leave Australia and come to Europe where I met the Kryll team. From there, they took me on as the Head of Strategy at Kryll.

**Q2: How did Kryll come to life and how is it positioned in the market?
Sebastian:** So, Kryll was founded in 2018, and the entire team is composed of traders. The point of it is that we found there were a lot of issues in the trading space, lots of inefficiencies. We identified that one of the problems is that there are pro traders who are very skilled but want to be more passive. Additionally, there are beginners who really don't know where to start. With Kryll, we believed we could effectively address many of these issues and provide an optimal solution through a platform that makes building trading algorithms easier for both pro traders and beginners. This makes picking up profitable trading strategies much easier for beginners as well. So far, that has been our strategy, and it has proven to be quite successful.
**Gokay: **Well, this is great to hear because most beginners tend to start off more aggressively, but professional traders take their time. So, if you combine them together, I can understand that this is great work.

**Q3: What role do you see crypto trading bot builders like Kryll playing in the future of trading?
Sebastian:** Well, to be honest, everything is becoming more and more automated. It's just a natural progression of technology and finance, and crypto is no exception to this fact. So what we're going to see is that more traders who have been introduced thanks to crypto are going to want to look for better tools in the future. This will include automation because many traders get burnt out from looking at the charts all day. They are seeking improved ways to manage their finances, and naturally, automation and better tools respond to this need.
Therefore, we definitely see this trend becoming more significant, especially when considering what institutions, hedge funds, and banks are doing—they heavily rely on trading algorithms, which has proven successful for them. We anticipate a democratization of this trend, with retail traders increasingly utilizing these tools. The accessibility of such technologies, like Kryll, will play a crucial role in this shift.

**Q4: Can Kryll trading bots incorporate and integrate trading signals or tools from third party platforms?
Sebastian: **Absolutely, we've introduced a tool called the Web Hooks feature. With this, you can integrate and use third-party tools. For example, if you have a TradingView indicator or signal that you want to include in your trading algorithm, you can do that with Kryll Web Hooks. Similarly, if you have Python code and you're a bit of a savvy coder, you can integrate it into your algorithm. Additionally, you can incorporate financial news, for example, through the use of IFTTT. We want to ensure that our platform isn't just restricted to common trading indicators, as many other competitors are focusing on. We aim to provide a platform that allows anyone to use any tool in their algorithm, but in a very simple manner.

**Q5: Can you share any specific examples of how Kryll has successfully maximized trading income?
Sebastian: **Oh, well, one of the things that our data analyst was looking at was just to see how traders who were not utilizing our bots compared and fared against traders who are actively using trading algorithms. We found that around 78% of those using the trading algorithms were beating the market. Whereas the majority, we know that most traders are losing against the market, and that's what was happening. So, you've really tilted it the other way. I think as time goes on, more people are going to start realizing that there's an optimal way, and sorry, that's with a few months of data, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what the data looks like over the long term. We're pretty optimistic.
**Gokay: **Alright, so this is great; it's like supporting the traders, and there are many packages they can include to get more information. This way, they can be more protected, let's say, in the market. But it's also important that I find out on your website if users can register and receive a welcome bonus. **Q6: What is Kryll's current focus?

But what we're really looking at is how we can further integrate smarter tools that can genuinely impact trading and make it more accessible. This includes assisting users in understanding the platform better or providing a trading tool they can utilize via artificial intelligence, aiming for portfolio optimization in general.
**Gokay: **Alright, that's great. AI is really changing the market right now. I see, and it's really great that you guys are already using this because I can't imagine where we will be in 2-3 years. It will be great to see it.
Sebastian: And a lot of hype has shifted from crypto to AI, but I believe that at some point, they're going to merge, and a lot of great things are going to happen in both spaces.

**Q7: How do you ensure the security of users' funds and personal information when using the Kryll trading bot?
Sebastian:** Kryll's users are completely protected from any identity breaches as our team constantly oversees the system. Other than that, Kryll is one of the few platforms where your API doesn't request withdrawals from any exchanges. So, users can rest assured that there won't be any unauthorized withdrawals happening on their accounts.

**Q8: How do you test and refine the trading strategies used by Kryll over time?
Sebastian: **How it looks like, Kryll actually allows for backtesting on the platform. Okay, so if you want to test your own trading algorithm that you've built or perhaps another user's trading algorithm that is on the full marketplace for you to use on your trading exchange, then you can go ahead and backtest it on pairs that you're interested in trading. So that's for historical backtesting, and that's important to get an idea of how it's performed over time. But another important thing that you can do is live test on Kryll. Okay, and get more live results and see how it's going in real-time basically, and that's really important. I really encourage people who deploy trading algorithms to test their algorithms in different market conditions and time periods to get an idea, and Kryll does that. And we're also one of the few platforms that allows you to run multiple backtests at one time on various pairs.

**Q9: What does Kryll’s roadmap and future look like? 
Sebastian:** So, we're examining three avenues that are quite important for the future, and I believe a natural progression for a platform like ours would obviously involve artificial intelligence. If it's going to be useful and not widely utilized by many companies in the future, they're going to fall behind. Kryll needs to be at the forefront of trading bots, so we do need to be utilizing that type of technology.
Another aspect is Dexs trading automation, which doesn't really exist as of yet and is not as widespread on Dex platforms (decentralized exchange platforms). So, we need to start looking into that and working towards it. We essentially have that set up in some ways; it just needs some more testing before we can deploy it.
Regarding expanding outside of just crypto, I think that's quite important because traditional finance is also a huge market out there, and not everybody wants to stick to only trading crypto. Crypto has bear markets and non-volatile markets, such as the one we're currently experiencing, and many people want to be able to trade other assets that are trending or have volatility. So, we want to give our users that opportunity as well.

Q10: How has Kryll's experience been so far working with Gate.io?
Sebastian:** Yes, it's been quite seamless and straightforward. Our users have shown great appreciation. They've been sending us requests, inquiring about the potential integration of Gate.io for Futures since we have Kryll Future as well. Sebastian:** Okay, that's a good question. I believe it applies to trading and, in general, life advice. If you find that things aren't progressing as they should or as you expect them to, there's often a more optimal way to approach them. Take a moment to consider and think critically. If you've been engaged in a particular activity, reflect on its progress and thoroughly examine what could be improved. There's usually some unnecessary noise that can be eliminated, which can be truly beneficial. So, optimizing the little things can really clear the path for you, not just in trading but in life. It allows you to seek better ways to handle important aspects.
