The United States successfully conducted a ballistic missile interception test for the first time in Guam.

Gold Ten News on December 11th, the US Missile Defense Agency stated on the 10th that the US successfully conducted a ballistic missile interception test in the Western Pacific Guam. The statement said that in the test conducted on the same day, the US launched a 'Standard-3 Block 2A' missile using the 'Aegis' missile defense system equipped with the new AN/TPY-6 radar and vertical launch system, intercepting an air-launched medium-range ballistic missile near the coast of Anderson Air Force Base in Guam. The US Missile Defense Agency stated that this is an 'important step' in enhancing Guam's defense, and the data will help establish future defense systems for Guam.
