Angola reports its first confirmed case of monkeypox

On November 17th, according to the report from the Angolan Ministry of Health, a confirmed case of monkeypox was reported in the capital city of Luanda. After verification with the Angolan Ministry of Health, this is the first confirmed case of monkeypox in Angola. According to the report, the patient is a 28-year-old Congolese woman who is currently receiving isolation treatment, and close contacts are also under isolation observation in the hospital.
