Gate.io applies a tiered fee structure based on VIP levels. Check your current fee rate by clicking Profile > My Fees in the upper right corner of the page. The base rate for VIP0 is 0.020% for makers and 0.050% for takers. Use Points or upgrade VIP levels to lower your fees.

Futures involve higher risk and you should select your preferred futures products that match your risk tolerance. To reduce liquidation risks, you can trade with isolated margin mode, lower leverage, set take-profit/stop-loss(TP/SL) conditions, focus on mainstream pairs like BTC or ETH, and avoid trading against the trend.
