According to BlockBeats on October 27th, Vitalik responded to questions from the community, "I want to know why the Ethereum Foundation does not stake all the ETH it holds like the Nobel Foundation, and only uses income to pay for costs? Why not consider market sentiment and everyone's voice and stick to regular dumping of ETH? You have always claimed that Ethereum's POS is very safe, why not stake ETH yourself? Do you lack confidence in POS?" Vitalik responded that one internal reason is that we do not want to be forced to make an "official choice" when there is a controversial hard fork. One idea under consideration is to offer some grants in the form of "you can stake our ETH, you can choose how to stake it, as long as it is ethical and advantageous". Another way to address this issue is to distribute legitimacy and resources to more places, so that multiple organizations are seen as trustworthy representatives of Ethereum in people's eyes. In this regard, our situation is much better than two years ago.
