AI unicorn Databricks completes $10 billion J round financing with a valuation of $62 billion, led by Thrive Capital

On December 18th, according to the Wall Street Journal, data and artificial intelligence company Databricks completed a $10 billion J round of financing with a valuation of $62 billion. Thrive Capital led the investment, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, DST Global, GIC, Insight Partners, and WCM Investment Management. Databricks' core business is providing software for data analysis and cleaning, as well as deploying artificial intelligence (AI) models for clients. Databricks is currently one of the highest valued private tech companies in the world.
