The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may make the anticipated critical decision for Ethereum next week.

According to information reported by Reuters, spot Ethereum ETFs could be approved on July 4th.

The final stages have been entered

According to the news based on anonymous sources, the Securities and Exchange Commission has reached the final stage of its discussions with asset managers.

SEC Chairman Gary Gensler said on Tuesday that the process of spot Ethereum (ETH) ETFs is progressing smoothly in his comments.

Asset management company VanEck prepared a file known as Form 8-A for the Ethereum ETF on the same day. This created the impression that VanEck's fund could enter the exchanges in a short period of time.

Billions of dollars can be invested

Information reported by Reuters is in line with experts' expectations. Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas had said that spot Ethereum ETFs could debut in early July.

SEC approved the 19b-4 files prepared for spot Ethereum ETFs last month. The approval of the S-1 files is also required for them to enter the market.

Matt Hougan, CIO of investment firm Bitwise, expects spot Ethereum ETFs to attract a total of $15 billion in investments within the first 18 months after entering the market.
