On November 5, according to Protos, Telegram's 'tap-to-earn' game Hamster Kombat, which once claimed to have 300 million users in August, now has a monthly active user base reduced to about 41 million, with over 260 million lost players. The game's Token HMSTR has seen a big dump of 76% from its high point of $0.009993 on September 26, and is now priced at only $0.002392. Earlier this year, the Telegram CEO called it the 'fastest rising digital service in the world,' but the rough AI graphics and boring gameplay failed to retain players. The game frequently delayed Airdrops and implemented strict anti-cheating systems, resulting in 2.3 million users being banned and 6.8 billion HMSTR Tokens being confiscated. In addition, Hamster Kombat has also faced criticism from the governments of Iran and Russia, who believe it has a negative impact on society.
