Telegram gaming platform Notcoin announced Thursday it will launch a pixel art competition within the Not Pixel game, with the tournament pitting 1,024 online communities against each other in a battle for digital canvas supremacy.

The Not Pixel Battle tournament, running from November 18 to November 30, will allow players to paint pixels on a shared digital canvas, with communities competing through nine elimination rounds for a final "Golden Pixel" prize.

"Notcoin together with other teams continue to create new cool experiences for Telegram communities," said Notcoin and Open Builders founder Sasha Plotvinov, in a statement. "People join together to represent themselves, their creativity, and their loyalty on a single live canvas, uniting in the competition to paint and win territory."

Ahead of the tournament, Notcoin said that Not Pixel players have already painted more than 6 billion pixels by hand. Communities will compete using unique stencil templates, with only half advancing after each round.

Top players can earn increasing PX token bonuses as they progress, with finalists receiving the Golden Pixel trophy and additional rewards. Not Pixel’s expected PX token has not yet launched, however players can earn points within the game by drawing, inviting friends, and engaging with social media accounts.

Notcoin launched at the start of 2024 as a Telegram tap-to-earn game, setting the mold that many other games would come to follow and expand on. The NOT token launched on The Open Network (TON) in May and quickly became the year’s biggest gaming token debut, hitting a peak market cap of nearly $3 billion.
