Zhang, the founder and CEO of Canaan (Canaan Creative), a Bitcoin Mining Rig manufacturer, revealed in a recent interview that the company plans to launch a Mini series of home Mining Rigs by the end of this year. The maximum power is about 800W, using the latest chips, and the maximum Computing Power can reach 40T. It also has heating function.

Zhang said that the shipping volume of the Avalon Nano3 series of home Mining Rigs launched by the company in the previous quarter has exceeded 10,000 units. He believes that home Mining products are expected to account for 20% of the overall Mining market in the future, which will greatly enhance the security of the BTC network.

Looking back over the past decade, Zhang pointed out that from the first generation Avalon Mining Rig 66Ghs Computing Power and 700W power consumption to the 15th generation A1566 with over 200,000 Ghs Computing Power and 3600W power consumption, the performance of Mining Rigs has increased by about 3000 times and energy efficiency has improved nearly 600 times. Currently, the A1566 Mining Rig has achieved 210THs Computing Power, and some high-end models can achieve energy efficiency of below 17J/TH.
