According to the TechFlow news, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Canada thanked the stablecoin issuer Tether for assisting in the investigation, freezing about 10,000 Canadian dollars (7,186 US dollars) of Tether stablecoins stolen from individuals, which have now been returned to the victims.

OPP Detective Chief Addison Hunter said, "With the voluntary assistance and cooperation of Tether International Ltd., the stolen digital asset has been successfully seized and returned to the victims. This collaboration played a crucial role in ensuring the prompt recovery of the assets."
