This initiative aimed to enhance the educational prospects of the Duano Tribe, an indigenous community traditionally known as sea people.

The Duano Tribe, residing along Jambi's coast, has transitioned from a nomadic to a settled lifestyle due to environmental and socio-economic changes. Despite this shift, their children continue to face educational challenges. Gate Charity, in collaboration with local communities, educators, and volunteers, sought to address these challenges by providing essential literacy resources and creating a supportive learning environment.

Upon arrival, the team interacted with the Duano Tribe, gaining insights into their cultural heritage and current challenges. On 21 July 2024, around 20 Duano children and 80 local kids participated in learning activities, games, and book donations. These activities aimed to inspire a love for reading and learning among the children, fostering a brighter future for the Duano Tribe's younger generation.
