Gate Charity Celebrated Chinese New Year with Aetas in the Philippines

This was a second initiative aiming to deliver warm wishes to the Aeta people, as a celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year, following Gate Charity's first visit in December 2022.

The Aeta are an indigenous people of the Philippines and are among the poorest and most marginalized communities in the country. Gate Charity's mission is to help reduce poverty and improve the lives of those in need. To this end, they organized a visit to the Aeta community during the Chinese New Year.

During their visit to Capas, the Philippines, [Gate Charity](https://www.gate.io/charity?ch=GM_blog_charity_20230125&utm_campaign=TR_n1XyOj7e&utm_content=&utm_medium=CPM&utm_source=CH_sApqy83F&utm_term= "Gate Charity") members had dinner with the Aetas in their community, sharing a meal and spending time with them. They also provided food packs to 50 beneficiaries, which included basic food items such as rice, canned goods, and other essential items.

A Gate Charity representative said: "Our visit to the Aeta community was a great success. We had a wonderful time with the Aetas and were able to provide them with the necessary resources they needed. We are humbled and honored to be able to do our part in helping the Aeta people and hope that our visit will bring some much-needed cheers during the Chinese New Year."
