Gate Charity is thrilled to share a heartwarming story from São Paulo, Brazil. On February 24, 2024, in partnership with A. A. Garotos de Ouro, one of its long-standing partners, Gate Charity supported a football event for underprivileged children, which approximately 100 local kids attended.

To further support A. A. Garotos on its social mission, Gate Charity sponsored a training match at a local field. During the game, various children's football teams had the opportunity to engage in healthy activity, team building, and practice for future games. After the match, Gate Charity provided the children with a lunch.

Gate Charity began working with A. A. Garotos, a local organization, last year to uplift marginalized children from the favelas in São Paulo. The partnership focuses on organizing and funding football programs that provide activities for local children affected by poverty.

Despite being Brazil's largest city and central economic hub, São Paulo is home to many residents who experience various forms of poverty. Families that struggle with poverty live in communities known as favelas, where children are most at risk of being caught up in dangerous and adverse environments.

The events and programs supported by Gate Charity and organized by A. A. Garotos have successfully kept the children engaged in positive activities, connecting them with their community and diverting them from potentially harmful environments.

Gate Charity has previously supported local children's football teams by funding field rental costs, food, and transportation and donating equipment such as custom team jerseys and protective gear. Although Gate Charity is primarily a blockchain-focused philanthropic organization, it has held several other initiatives in Brazil, including for orphaned children. The organization is committed to further supporting disadvantaged and marginalized children in Brazil and other regions worldwide.
