Gate Charity, a global non-profit philanthropic organization, recently collaborated with the Bohol Animal Rescue & Kindness (BARK) shelter for a successful charity event focused on animal rescue. The event, held on June 12, brought together caring individuals and volunteers to extend love and support to animals in need on the beautiful island of Bohol, Philippines.

The animal rescue meetup aimed to provide assistance and resources to the BARK shelter, which serves as a safe haven for dogs rescued from abuse, abandonment, and injury. Since its establishment in June 2014, BARK has been dedicated to creating a happy and nurturing environment for dogs of all ages and has a track record of actively supporting animal welfare initiatives, with a focus on spaying and neutering, vaccinating against rabies, and promoting the adoption of healthy animals. Over the years, BARK has successfully found loving homes for nearly a hundred pets and continues to prioritize their well-being through regular follow-up visits. Currently, the shelter houses over 80 dogs, including puppies, disabled dogs, and those battling cancer.

GateCharity, in collaboration with caring individuals from the local community, organized the charity rescue operation. The event involved the provision of 150 kilograms of dog and cat food, along with essential supplies such as water and medicine. The event took place from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, during which time volunteers actively participated in various activities like animal rescue and food provision to support the animals and the BARK shelter. Gate Charity, along with its partners, expressed their dedication to the cause by ensuring that the animals received the necessary nourishment, medical supplies, and care they deserve.
