The Summer Solstice, which falls on 21-22 June, is historically significant in Chinese culture, often referred to as the "Summer Festival." This traditional festival once held national holiday status and was marked by customs such as women wearing colorful fans and exchanging powdered fat pouches as gifts during the Liao Dynasty.

The volunteers shared meals and engaged in caring activities aimed at giving back to society and supporting disadvantaged groups. One of the event highlights was the creation of colorful fan paintings, where volunteers and cooperative unit members collaborated to produce hand-made artistic creations.

In an innovative twist, all completed fan art creations were authorized by Gate Charity to be transformed into NFTs through scanning and photography. These NFTs will be sold in a charity sale, with all proceeds benefiting the cooperative units involved in the event.

The Happiness Social Welfare Foundation, a key partner in this event, played a significant role. The foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities through family support, institutional care, community care, and employment guidance. They provide essential services such as accommodation, self-care skills training, agency training, and rehabilitation for individuals with mental disabilities over the age of 18.
