The Foresight News reports that Japanese Prime Minister Shizuo Ishiba has promised to launch a cross-party discussion on comprehensive tax reform, including a unified adjustment of the cryptocurrency tax rate to 20%, replacing the current floating tax rate of up to 55% for 'miscellaneous income'. The economic stimulus plan is expected to be approved by the end of 2024. The reform plan also includes raising the personal tax exemption amount from $6,650 to $11,345, while lowering fuel and sales taxes.
