At the Unlocking MiCA: Opportunities and Challenges for Crypto Businesses event, Mr. Giovanni Cunti, CEO of Gate MT, an entity within the Gate Group, joined a panel with the Head of Fintech from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and other experts to discuss the transformative potential of MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation).

During the discussion, Mr. Cunti outlined how Gate.MT chose Malta as a base for its regulated European operations under the VFA Framework, set to be fully established in 2028. He emphasized the advantages MiCA will bring, particularly in fostering trust among institutional investors and enabling a "passportable" license across Europe. This aligns with Gate.MT’s goal to offer a secure, regulated trading platform across the EU.

With MiCA on the horizon, Gate.MT is already regarded as a benchmark for compliance in the crypto space. As Mr. Cunti stated, “We’re committed to advancing safe and reliable crypto access, setting the standard for a regulated market across Europe.”

Gate.MT is in the final stages of MiCA licensing, preparing to play a central role in Europe’s evolving crypto landscape.
