Security researchers discovered vulnerabilities in Virtuals Protocol
Wu learned that blockchain security researcher jinu tweeted that a vulnerability was found in Virtuals Protocol related to the creation of AgentToken and VIRTUAL Token pairs on Uniswap V2. This vulnerability exploits the nonce of AgentFactoryV3 to predict and create AgentToken and VIRTUAL pairs on Uniswap V2 in advance, causing the Virtuals system unable to launch new AgentTokens because Uniswap V2 refuses to create existing pairs. The fix is to have AgentToken check for existence when creating pairs. The official Virtuals Protocol has released a patch for this vulnerability and is developing a bug Bounty Program, which will soon announce the complete details.
