The Capital Markets Board (SPK) gave signals last week that it is ready to take another critical step towards regulating the cryptocurrency market. SPK President İbrahim Ömer Gönül announced that secondary regulations for cryptocurrencies will be implemented very soon.

In an interview given to Bloomberg by İbrahim Ömer Gönül, January was mentioned. Gönül announced that new regulations regarding the cryptocurrency market will be implemented in January, very soon. Gönül also emphasized that this step aims to clarify the establishment and operational conditions of platforms, especially to enhance investor security.

We aim to complete the secondary regulations within January and release them. What will we bring? How these platforms and institutions will be established, and how the crypto investor will be kept safe... When we say keeping it safe, we are working to ensure the system's security by determining the principles and procedures of working with concealers and platforms within their natural habitat. We determine the conditions for the establishment of the company and the conditions for transactions. We also collaborate with TÜBİTAK and MASAK on the issues of the security systems.
