BlockBeats News, on October 8, Bison, a Cryptocurrency trading platform under the Stuttgart Stock Exchange Group, launched an insured stake service for ETH Square users. This new stake feature allows customers to stake as little as 0.005 ETH and earn weekly rewards. The program is backed by Germany companies, including Munich Re, a global reinsurer that provides coverage for risks common in the cryptocurrency stake process. The stake service for Bison has partnered with Munich Re and Staking Facilities, a Germany stake service provider. Insurance is designed to cover the main risk of "slashing", which can result in the loss of ETH staken when validators are penalized by the network for misconduct. Munich Re's policies also protect stakers from the risk of operational errors, technical failures and potential fraud, meaning that users can be covered against common stake risks when they stake. At the same time, ETH Fang co-founder Vitalik Buterin expressed his support for his personal stake. Buterin mentioned that dropping the idea of a minimum deposit requirement of 16-24 ETH for individual stakes can promote the security and decentralization of the network.
