PwC: Nearly Half of Traditional Hedging Funds are Dabbling in Crypto Assets, According to a New Survey. With regulatory clarity improving, the launch of exchange-traded funds in the US and Asia, and more investors drawn to the cryptocurrency category, nearly half of hedging funds that focus on traditional asset classes are now dabbling in crypto assets. According to the Global Cryptocurrency Hedging Fund Report released by the Alternative Investment Management Association and PricewaterhouseCoopers on Thursday, 47% of Hedging funds trading in traditional markets hold digital assets, up from 29% in 2023 and 37% in 2022. The survey found that 67% of funds already invested plan to maintain their capital in Cryptocurrency at the same level, with the remaining funds planning to increase their investment by the end of 2024.
