Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm's criminal trial has been postponed until April 2025

Foresight News reports that, according to CoinDesk, a judge in New York has ruled that the criminal trial of Roman Storm, co-founder of Tornado Cash, will be postponed until April 14, 2025, to address the discrepancies disclosed by expert witnesses. The original trial date was scheduled for December this year. Storm's legal team has applied for a mandamus to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to overturn the order regarding expert witnesses, and a related hearing is set for November 12. Storm faces three charges related to his involvement with Tornado Cash: conspiracy to promote Money Laundering, conspiracy to operate an unlicensed money transmitter, and violation of sanctions. If convicted on all charges, he could face up to 45 years in prison.
