How Does Trias Work?

Trias operates as a DSaaS (Decentralized Software as a Service). In this model, the software is accessible for purchase and utilization by anyone with an internet connection. Unlike traditional SaaS models that can face unavoidable failures, DSaaS ensures high scalability and continuous availability while enhancing security, thereby inheriting all the benefits offered by SaaS and further fortifying the system.

This unique DSaaS model is embodied by TriasForce, a software suite developed by the Trias team to guarantee the reliability of the underlying software. TriasForce consists of three key offerings: TriasForce Auditing, TriasForce Security, and TriasForce ERP, all providing blockchain-based services to clients across various sectors.

As the first DSaaS constructed on the Trias blockchain, TriasForce is an enterprise-level application currently used globally. It exemplifies Trias’ vision to spearhead the evolution of future applications on its platform.

Components of TriasForce

TriasForce has three parts each built following the Trias Architecture:

TF- Security

Data security can often be jeopardized by network administrators, who may gain easy access to stored data and erase the logs, making their actions untraceable. TF-Security is designed to promptly detect and counteract such malicious activities. It employs a whitelist-based protective approach and provides a tamper-proof auditing trail, significantly enhancing the security of the data.

TF-Audit

In everyday enterprise operations, there is a large volume of data generated. TF-Audit is integrated with blockchain and security management practices. This allows for effortless verification and tracing of all workflows, enhancing work efficiency and decreasing the burden associated with auditing tasks.

TF-ERP

TF-Enterprise Resource Planning (TF-ERP) is a software solution for business process management. It enables an organization to leverage a cohesive system of interconnected applications to orchestrate its business operations while automating backend tasks related to technology, services, and human resources.

Architecture and Consensus Mechanism

Trias is built on a three-tiered layer, namely; Leviatom, Prometh, and MagCarta.

Source: Trias

Leviatom Layer

The Leviatom Layer forms a web of Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) to ensure accurate execution of general-purpose software applications. This layer operates using a Heterogeneous Consensus Graph (HCGraph) approach, integrating diverse TEE technologies (like TPM, TXT, and Intel SGX, among others) and graph computation algorithms.

Source: Trias

This diverse TEE spectrum enables Leviatom to swiftly spot non-compliant nodes and abolishes the reliance on a single technology source. Additionally, the gossip protocols inherent to HCGraph notably lessen excessive TEE confirmations, thus upholding a scalable and resilient web of trust.

Prometh Layer

The Prometh Layer is a traceable development framework that accomplishes decentralized definitions of functional and security aspects for all-purpose software. It authentically documents all the vital data related to the entire lifespan of software on a blockchain, encompassing stages such as creation, compilation, distribution, and more.

Source: Trias

Prometh stimulates the community to adopt DevSecOps approaches, instigating automatic or manual inspections or validations of the logged information for each pivotal phase. This process leads to dedicating the software’s true characteristics, guaranteeing that the software only carries out its intended operations.

MagCarta Layer

The MagCarta Layer is a programming model driven by consensus, designed to allow the embedding and creation of unique consensus strategies for advanced enterprise decentralized applications (DApps). Contracts within MagCarta can call upon Prometh applications and arrange for their execution on the Leviatom computing network, allowing for the realization of sophisticated enterprise application logic.

Source: Trias

MagCarta also employs a custom-made consensus algorithm to verify the accuracy of each invocation. Through MagCarta, DApps can establish their own built-in consensus strategy and ledger structure. They are also provided with the capability to design their own reward systems for contributors to the computing infrastructure (Leviatom) or software components (Prometh).

Separation-of-Powers Concept

Source: Trias

Trias operates on a model similar to the Separation-of-Powers concept, known as the Trias Politica. This model proposes that the executive, legislative, and judicial powers should be regulated by separate entities, ensuring independent functioning and mutual checks and balances. In the context of Trias, Leviatom assumes the role of the executive, managing the execution of a series of programs; Prometh assumes the legislative role, outlining the functional and security attributes of each program; while MagCarta takes on the judiciary role, assessing the service quality and allotting interests among all parties involved.

Check-and-Balance System

Source: Trias

Trias introduces a Check-and-Balance system where any two powers can curtail the excessive growth of the third. For instance, Prometh defines the characteristics of the software stack implementing Leviatom protocols, while MagCarta acknowledges and validates the contributions made by Leviatom nodes. Similarly, Prometh’s software stacks run on Leviatom, with MagCarta acknowledging and validating the contributions of the attribute definers of Prometh. Additionally, the features of MagCarta contracts are outlined by Prometh, and the MagCarta virtual machine operates under the Leviatom trusted computing network.

Features of Trias

Layer-1 Enhancement to Public Blockchains

Leviatom forms trusted connections among the consensus nodes of existing public blockchains. These pre-existing trusted relationships considerably diminish the complexity associated with reaching a consensus. As a result, it aids third-party chains in achieving over 100,000 transactions per second (tps) for a single shard and can thwart nearly 90% of coordinated malicious attacks.

Consensus-Oriented Enterprise Programming

MagCarta empowers DApps to delegate intricate business logic and data collection procedures to trusted native applications. It goes further to implement consensus logic and ledger structure without being bound by any predetermined strategies imposed by any selected public blockchain. The application of consensus-oriented programming enables DApps on Trias to execute highly complex, general-purpose enterprise application logic.

Trusted Operating Systems and Application Ecosystem

Trias efficiently mitigates malware and attack risks, given that Leviatom permits only the execution of whitelisted applications and Prometh allows applications to execute solely whitelisted behaviors. As a result, Trias fosters the creation of trustworthy App stores for various platforms including PCs, enterprise servers, mobile devices, and IoT devices.

Trustworthy Multi-Party Computation

Trias completes multi-party computations by swapping applications rather than exchanging private data. Within this model, Leviatom guarantees the legitimate execution of third-party applications, while Prometh enforces the implementation of predefined data processing contracts by the application.

Trustworthy Cloud Computing Platform

Leviatom establishes a union of trusted computing platforms, functioning as a global-scale cloud computing platform. Prometh is responsible for implementing the development framework and application distribution channel (or the Appstore) for this cloud platform, while MagCarta enacts the SaaS logic to connect and orchestrate Prometh apps. This all-present cloud platform connects smaller public clouds worldwide that may lack the scale to attract a wider customer base. Trias endorses these clouds with a seal of trustworthiness, further enabling cross-border unified resource sharing, scheduling, and billing.

Trias Use Cases

Trias provides a range of enterprise products and solutions to address trust and security challenges for a diverse clientele across various industries. Some examples of use cases and clients are as follows:

Note: ASEAN stands for Association of Southeast Asian Nations

Trias DAO

Trias DAO was created to reflect the brand’s core objectives. It integrates openness and inclusiveness, freedom, and autonomy. Its framework is a 3-committee-based DAO with a foundation that will be established later to serve as an oversight. Its primary assignment is to undertake and supervise all projects of the Trias community, and is responsible for promoting the achievement of neutral consensus. The three committees are:

Trias Community Council

Trias Community Council is the core force of Trias. Its main responsibility is to lead and organize community members to implement Trias projects and promote the construction and development of its ecology. Open to anyone with a zeal to enhance the community, the council has two membership tiers: executive directors and regular directors. While aspiring executive directors require endorsement from most incumbent members, regular directors can join with a straightforward registration process.

Trias Fund Utilization Audit Committee

To ensure the judicious and transparent use of funds, a fund use audit committee composed of community representatives was established to supervise and audit the fund use of the foundation. In the first stage, the early investors will serve as members. After the main network goes online, spots will be reserved for holders of the top seven cryptocurrencies network-wide.

Trias DAO Technical Committee

The technical committee defines and maintains the technology vision of the Trias DAO technology community, approves new projects within the scope of DAO as determined by the technical committee, establishes a conceptual framework of projects, oversees modifications, listens to end-user feedback and maps it to the project.

What is TRIAS Token?

The TRIAS token serves as the native cryptocurrency of the Trias network.
