The widening of Gate Labs' investment portfolio looks unaffected by the turbulent market in Q3, with a significant focus on Web3 and other decentralized solutions. Gate Labs invested in 22 startups and emerging companies in areas ranging from DeFi and GameFi to NFTs, metaverse, cross-chain solutions, and digital identity.
Some notable investments include IdentDeFi, a startup building a compliant liquidity layer on top of DeFi, and Aspecta, which aims to create a digital identity ecosystem based on web and on-chain data.
Dr. Lin Han, CEO and Founder of
Gate.io, said, "There's still a sea of builders who, despite the market, are working on iterating and evolving the broader blockchain ecosystem, especially in Web3. So we don't see the market holding back next-gen ideas from producing real value and solving new problems as blockchain evolves."
The
Gate.io crypto exchange has strengthened its Q3 investment portfolio through several of its investment institutions. Aside from Gate Labs, the exchange has invested heavily in the blockchain industry through Gate Ventures, its venture capital arm, and Gate Grants, an R&D and grant funding initiative for startups building decentralized tech.
Gate.io is branching out, diversifying its channels for investing in the space, and building a portfolio focusing on areas that will forge the future of blockchain, such as Web3 and beyond.
