'Financial Times' reported that OpenAI is discussing removing the AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) clause from its structure to unlock the potential for billions of dollars in future investments. Currently, under this clause, when OpenAI achieves AGI, Microsoft's rights to use this technology will expire, and the decision on whether AGI has been achieved is controlled by the OpenAI board of directors. Sources revealed that to ensure that strategic investors such as Microsoft can continue to invest in and use the technology after AGI is achieved, OpenAI is exploring the possibility of removing this provision. Currently, the board of directors has not made a final decision and is still evaluating various options.
