Gate Charity's Heartwarming "Christmas Smiles" Event Brought Joy to Disabled Children in Vietnam

Gate Charity, the global non-profit philanthropic organization of Gate Group, proudly recaps its heartwarming "Christmas Smiles" event on 14 and 15 December 2023. This event was designed to bring joy and happiness to deaf and disabled children living in shelter homes in Dalat, Lam Dong Province in Vietnam.

The Gate Charity team, donning Santa Claus attire, embarked on a mission to bring love and cheer to those in need. They visited three shelter homes in the region and distributed gifts and essential items for both learning and daily life. The children were not only delighted by the surprise visit from Santa but were also deeply moved by the generosity of the Gate Charity team.

The three shelter homes visited during the event were:
**1. Mai Anh Deaf class:** Located at 01 Ngo Quyen, Da Lat, Lam Dong, Mai Anh Deaf class has been providing support and care to children with disabilities since 2006. The majority of the children at this facility are deaf, autistic, hyperactive, and developmentally slow.
**2. SOS Children's Villages: **Situated at 67 Hung Vuong, Ward 9, Da Lat, Lam Dong, SOS Children's Villages has been nurturing and supporting over 100 orphans, abandoned children, and disadvantaged children since 1972.
**3. Blind Shelter: **Found at 39/3 Ho Tung Mau, Ward 3, Da Lat, Lam Dong, the Da Lat Shelter for Blind Children is under the care of the "Thu Duc Congregation of the Holy Cross." This facility provides a home and education for more than 20 blind children and operates through the charity of the sisters and financial self-reliance.

In addition to the gift distribution, Gate Charity also provided each shelter home with a donation board that displayed the total donation value contributed during the event. This served as a memorable moment for the children, who took pictures with the boards as a token of appreciation for the kind-hearted donors.
