Gate Learn to Hold Online Crypto Workshop with National Autonomous University of Mexico

Gate.io, one of the top international exchanges worldwide, has been working for years and contributing to the crypto industry in different areas of the crypto space. At the beginning of this new year and with its objective of encouraging crypto education not only among the Gate.io community but also within the global population, Gate.io exchange, together with its Gate Learn department, has launched a series of workshops in collaboration with different universities and institutions around the world.

In January 2023, Gate Learn will launch together with the Mexico´s UNAM Faculty of Engineering a workshop focused on the basic principles of the crypto industry. The workshop entitled **"Cryptos from Zero" (Criptos desde Cero in Spanish)** will initiate those interested in cryptocurrencies into the basic principles of the industry. It will guide them through the journey of the beginnings of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, their creation, understanding mining and teaching the fundamental concepts that every crypto beginner in the crypto world should know. The main objective is to provide relevant and major keys to those attending so that interest in crypto extends beyond the borders of the industry itself.

"It is essential that crypto education reaches as many parts of the population as possible. Without basic education to start with, crypto users may find themselves defenseless against the threat actors that unfortunately exist in crypto space. Supporting the community with an educational foundation like this means giving them the first necessary tools so that they can start their crypto path safely." comments Dr. Han Lin, CEO of Gate.io, about the project of starting educational workshops globally. "Our goal is to contribute with safe and reliable information, providing the best of the exchange in the most responsible way possible. This is done with education, even more so after a tough year 2022 we've been through in terms of the bear market."

This first workshop with the University of Mexico is just the beginning of a series that Gate.io has been working on for months, and with which they hope to be able to contribute great quality content to the crypto community. The next workshop is already set and it will take place in February 2023. It will be focused on Digital Wallets and its connection with the crypto industry. This is also a very important topic to have in mind when it comes to user security. The knowledge of how and where to keep your funds is essential not only for beginners but for everyone in the space. Such educational and informative content is even more important now since the number of scams and phishing in the crypto market has increased considerably.

In the following months throughout the first half of the year, there will be more workshops covering other essential topics. Relevant key points of blockchain technology, introduction to the DeFi world, NFTs and e-Gaming among other topics will be touched on later on in the following seminars.
