## Q1. Tell us about Legion. What made you start Legion?
It’s a well-known fact that the only people who see major profits in crypto are either those who get really lucky or VCs. We saw this as an opportunity. VCs get deals that everyday users just don’t have access to—deals that people like you and me, or anyone in the audience, would never have the opportunity to even hear about.

There are several solutions we offer as Legion. To VCs, we allow them to exit their positions and get liquidity through our OTC deals. For companies, we help them raise capital and offer them our network; and for retail investors, we give them access to deals they would never have access to.

I’ve been in crypto for a while, initially as an angel investor. Over time, I built a lot of relationships in space, including some of the biggest players. This not only gave me access to top projects but also to top deals through shared dealflow with the largest VCs.

## Q2. What types of startups does Legion typically invest in?
We invest specifically in companies that the average retail investor can’t find.
For us, the rarer the deal, the better it is, and through this, we have been able to access some of the best and most profitable deals for our community. These deals can be from any company, usually in the early stages of funding.

## Q3. Can you share success stories from your portfolio companies?
Of course, To give you an overview, we’ve already invested over $13m and distributed $9m - which is a small percentage of the amount invested that has actually unlocked.

To namedrop, we invested in OpenAI at a $25bn market cap, and today it’s valued at over $80bn.

We actually created a dashboard where users can access our entire investment portfolio and outcomes.

## Q4. What qualities does Legion Ventures look for in a project before investing?
We have lots of trusted partners through which our deals come through. Usually we look at a few main fundamentals:

-The team: who is the team, what companies have they had in the past, have they been successful? Who are they? 
-The token: Do the tokenomics make sense? Is it a problem waiting to happen? Does the company need a token? 
-Partners and investors: Who is backing the project? Who else has invested? How much have they raised so far and where are they going to use the funds?

Finally, the roadmap: Firstly, is the company already generating revenue? Is the roadmap being met? Does the roadmap make sense?

Once these basic points have been checked off, we look deeper into the company overall, market trends and sentiment, among other things.

## Q5. What is Legion Ventures' approach to risk management and mitigating potential challenges for startups?
This is always a tough question to answer. I would like to give a simple answer, but there just isn’t one. Market sentiment can change so fast, so there’s no way to reduce risk completely, but through our DD, we make sure to be as thorough as possible with our investments.
