Gate.io GMMC 2023 Update: Better Offers and Lower Criteria For Entry for Global Market Makers!

In order to rapidly adapt to current changes and market conditions, Gate.io will implement changes in our Global Market Maker Competition (GMMC) Program, which will go live as of 2023-1-1 0:00 (UTC+0). These changes include:
Spot Market Maker Program and Futures Market Maker Program：
1. New Market Maker Program Offers and Lower Criteria For Entry
We have updated to offer 5 MM tiers for both Spot and Futures markets, and have lowered the criteria to join our market maker program:
a. Spot(/USDT): ALL market makers are eligible to receive a negative maker fee with a minimum of 0.08% of spot maker volume% on Gate.io
b. USDT-M Perpetual Futures: ALL market makers are eligible to receive a negative maker fee of -0.015% with a minimum requirement of 0.04% of futures maker volume% on Gate.io
2. Extended Trial Period, Removal of Loan Limit Criteria, and Enhance Opportunities for Market Makers
a. Market Makers on other exchanges can now apply for a 60-day trial period for the MM+1 tier and VIP+1 tier, based on their last 30 days of trading volume
b. ANY market makers can apply for up to US$10 million equivalent token in portfolio margin account line of credit at any time.
c. Market makers who provide liquidity on active trading pairs of Gate.io under pre-determined quoting requirements will be eligible for up to a US$10 million equivalent token 0% interest rate line of credit (*)
Futures Taker Program:
1. Faster VIP Upgrades and Discounted Taker Fee Rates For Takers in USDT-M Perpetual Futures
a. Takers enjoy fast VIP upgrades and one of the most competitive taker fee rates in the Industry
b. High-Volume takers of USDT-M Perpetual Futures will be further entitled to a taker fee discount based on their additional taker volume% on Gate.io (*)
2. Extended Trial Period, Removal of Loan Limit Criteria, and Enhance Opportunities for Takers
a. Takers on other exchanges can now apply for a 60-day trial period for the MM+1 tier and VIP+1 tier, based on their last 30 days of trading volume
b. ANY takers can apply for up to US$10 million equivalent token in portfolio margin account line of credit at any time.
c. High-volume market makers who are primarily acting as takers under pre-determined requirements will be eligible for up to a US$10 million equivalent token 0% interest rate line of credit (*)
Gate.io has established a $100 million liquidity support fund to provide additional support to market makers, high-frequency trading institutions, and high-quality listing projects. Furthermore, Gate.io is also offering our market makers access to a high-value line of credit on our portfolio margin account. We are also keen to evaluate co-marketing partnership opportunities with our market makers to increase mutual exposure within the industry.
