In fact, the development starting point of TON can be traced back to 2018. The Open Network was carefully designed and created by the highly anticipated Telegram team, aiming to be a fully decentralized Layer 1 blockchain that combines scalability, sharding performance, fast transaction speed, low transaction costs, and user-friendly applications.

However, TON's development has not been smooth sailing. In 2020, the Telegram team had to settle with the SEC due to legal disputes accusing it of issuing unregistered securities, resulting in the project being temporarily suspended.

Fortunately, community developers saw TON's potential and took over the project, giving it a new name—The Open Network—and continuing to push it forward.

TON's technical logic is centered around high-speed applications, and its transactions are directly linked based on messages, supporting point-to-point communication. The dynamic multi-shard architecture provides strong support for the scalability of its applications.

TON adopts a Proof of Stake (POS) mechanism, and TON tokens play an important role in the ecosystem for paying transaction fees, processing settlement payments, and verifying transactions. According to TON's basic parameters, its annual inflation rate is controlled at about 0.6%, demonstrating a robust economic model.

But by the end of December last year, TON's development had encountered another setback. His official Twitter account @ton_blockchain has been banned for unknown reasons, causing some inconvenience to the community.

Despite this, the development momentum of the TON ecosystem has not been significantly affected. On March 20 of this year, the <a href="/es/price/toncoin-ton" target="_blank" class="blog_inner_link">Toncoin</a> Foundation announced a major distribution plan, marking the substantial development of the TON ecosystem.
