OpenAI has requested the dismissal of Musk's federal lawsuit against the company and its founder Sam Altman. Two months ago, Musk filed a lawsuit accusing OpenAI of abandoning its founding mission to develop open artificial intelligence for the betterment of humanity and instead pursuing profit maximization. In its motion to dismiss filed in the California federal court, OpenAI stated that Musk's lawsuit is the latest move in a series of escalating actions aimed at harassing OpenAI for his own competitive advantage. According to OpenAI's document, Musk subsequently launched his own AI startup xAI and claimed that he was "trying to gain a competitive advantage in this field" by using the legal system. Musk has not commented on the document yet.
